MOTORISATION
Why would I want my sun shade motorised?
Nothing could be more convenient than simply hitting a button and watching your sunshade extend on its own. Once fully extended or retracted, the unit will stop automatically. You can also stop the sun shade any where along the way. The motor sits discreetly within the headbox, out of sight.

Motorised awnings are used up to four times as much as manual units. Sound unbelievable? Think of how often you would change the channel on your TV if you didn’t have the remote control; or how often you would park in your garage if it had a manual door!

Who does the electrical works? Can Issey connect my systems for me?
Issey are not licensed electricians and therefore cannot conduct any electrical work. You may use an electrician you are familiar with or Issey can give you a few names to choose from.

Is a remote control operated system more expensive than a hardwired one?

Costs will vary depending upon the individual application. But remember, using a remote controlled system, you can make substantial savings on electrical work because of reduced wiring. The remote control system will also allow greater flexibility of control and configuration with sensors.

I have a building management system where I can control my lights and music. Can your awnings and blinds work through this system?
Yes. It is just a matter of Issey supplying special electrical components and then your system specialist can wire the sun shades to integrate with your building management tool.

Why should I attach sensors?
Sensors are both a defence against damage and a lifestyle management tool.

Wind Sensors retract the attached products when the wind reaches a certain speed. This can be beneficial if you have not retracted the sun shades before leaving the house and some unexpected wind occurs. Please be aware that it is not a 100% guarantee against damage as it does take a few seconds for the systems to retract back.

Sun and wind sensors help protect the sunshades and the home even when you are not there. The awnings and blinds will automatically extend when the sun is out to protect the home from heat and UV rays. The systems will automatically retract when the sun sets or the winds get too strong.

Even though our installers are experienced in local conditions, these sensors may need some further adjustment to get the perfect balance of sun intensity and wind speed.
