APPLICATIONS & SOLUTIONS
What kind of awning should I buy?
There are many different types for different solutions. Contact us for expert advice, or go to our product range section to be guided through the selection process.

Because we design and manufacture our systems, we can create purpose-designed products for larger projects, or create new solutions with hybrids of our products.

My windows face east and west and I get low morning and afternoon sun. What type of product would solve this?
East and west facing windows often experience low angled sun. This sun can bring strong heat and uncomfortable glare. The best solution is to have an external, vertical blind (Issey Issiroll or Issey Vertiroll) that will stop even the lowest sun while blocking the heat, glare and UV rays.

If you face north or south, the sun is generally higher in the sky and can be shaded by overhead or vertical awnings or blinds, depending on the situation.

Can I use these sunshades on a boat, camper van or trailer?

All of our awnings are custom made to suit each individual application. We have experience with unique projects, and have created sun solutions for boats in the past. Contact your local Issey office for more information regarding your particular situation.

I have been looking for a solution for a difficult sun problem. Can Issey help?

Issey have built a reputation as expert sun solution providers. There have been numerous jobs, including the Australian Institute of Sport and the West Centre, in which Issey was the only company capable of creating a unique, purpose built system to suit the situation.

Very often, if Issey can’t do it, no other company in Australia can. From our years of designing, manufacturing and installing for Australian customers, we have gained invaluable and unique knowledge of what is possible and what is not. We are unable to do certain jobs only because they will not work technically, or they will not provide the required benefits.

I’ve tried everything from Window Tinting to Internal blinds to try to keep the heat out of my home. Why are external systems better at this?
The sun’s rays warm up the home by entering via different areas. Windows are one of the main points of heat gain and loss. Having an external awning or blind stops the sun before it hits the glass and warms up the interior. External shading is the most effective way to stop heat entering and can significantly decrease air conditioning costs. We have had many clients try different products to stop the heat with little result, until they came to us.
